At Automattic, my main responsibility is a mix between creative direction and growth. It's the constant change of roles between creative direction, branding, designing, and animating that keeps things interesting. I collaborate with folks with various roles from around the world, striving to make the web a better place.

WordPress 15th Anniversary Logo

Role: Creative direction, design.

For the big anniversary of the WordPress open source project, I was fortunate to design the logo for the event. Working with a panel from the community, we've developed the logo in an open, collaborative process. 

People all around the world sported shirts and swag, and even cakes(!) donning the logo to celebrate the occasion.

WordPress 5.0 Announcement Video

To introduce a big milestone in WordPress history, I’ve creative directed this short animated film, along with my colleagues, Matias Ventura and Josepha Haden Chomphosy, to celebrate the release of WordPress 5.0. It’s a huge deal in that the brand new block editor is included with this new release.

Working with the agency Thinkmojo, we created this jazzy film.

We wanted to create an engaging creative that tells our customers what you can do with our product. The paper look and feel gives our brand a fresh and modern look that pays homage to our publishing roots.

For this project, we created three demo pages along with this video to show the different uses of our platform.
